I am a degreed meteorologist with experience forecasting in southern and Northern Michigan, including time at 9&10 News. I am still forecasting for northern Michigan for NEWSnet Northern Michigan.
I want to give a more accurate forecast for a part of the state that is in the middle of several TV markets and has a lot of outdoor recreation, especially along the Muskegon River.

Monday: Tracking PM Storm Chance ☀️⛈
A few more clouds than the past few days, but still a decent day to start. Partly to mostly sunny. But clouds will increase throughout the day as a cold front approaches by the afternoon. Showers and storms should fire up along it. Right now, the threat for severe weather remains low, but something to monitor in the coming days given the timing of the front. Breezy ahead of the cold front as well winds southwest 10-20 mph with highs in the mid 80s.
